WHAT WE DO

Our classes are taught by certified personal trainers who know the proper exercises and progressions to help older adults regain and maintain balance both mentally and physically, along with strength and flexibility. When paired with curriculum from activity directors, our classes help seniors feel invigorated and inspired about life again, all the while building up their health in a fun and meaningful way.

What People Are Saying

I had a stroke in March of 2014 and had been in physical therapy for over a year and was not satisfied with my overall results. Michelle was recommended to me. I started training with Michelle in June 2015. She has strengthened me to a point that I am now able to do most daily functions, including walking without my cane for short distances. I have gained more strength, coordination, and body control than I accomplished in physical therapy. Michelle is enthusiastic, encouraging, very competent and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Michelle has led senior fitness sessions at my apartment complex for three years. We are all at different levels of fitness, several with mobility limitations. Regular assessments show what level of capabilities each participant has reached, and she pushes us to what she knows we can do, customizing the moves for those with limitations. The encouragement we receive from her keeps us coming back for more! We look forward to our workouts and are in better physical health because of Michelle. We love Michelle!

I was one who didn't mind sitting on the couch and eating whatever while watching tv. The idea of walking around the track or exercising at home was far from my thought processes…She has gotten me to do squats, jumping jacks, and lifting 8-pound weights. I Skype with Michelle twice a week and I look forward to this time. She has helped me to transform my body and become stronger. I now can go up a flight of stairs without stopping or being winded. This training is a lifelong thing for me since I am 61 years old. She is helping me to stay fit and mobile so I will still be able to walk and move and age gracefully. Thank you so much Michelle for working with me. You are awesome.

OUR PROCESS

Certified personal trainers will show up on-site to facilitate fitness classes. Trainers will conduct semi-annual fitness tests to measure progress and gauge results.

OLDER ADULTS AND EXERCISE

Challenges

Older adults face many challenges, including obesity, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, cancer, cognitive decline, arthritis, and depression that could be prevented, reversed, or controlled with regular physical activity.

benefits

Physical activity keeps healthy older adults living independently and is associated with recovery from functional limitations and reduced risk of falls.

Fall risk

However, physical activity levels are low and decrease throughout older adulthood. Falls are responsible for considerable morbidity, immobility, and mortality among older adults.

our commitment

Well Seasoned & Fit is dedicated to liberating the challenges older adults face and will continue contributing to health for generations to come.
